Default 850 Tdi lift pump

Hi guys i have a question.

Does the 850/V70 tdi have a lift pump in the fuel tank?
When i took my rear seats up there was a fuel pump in there but all the wiring looks out of place (not the ususal volvo standard) and ive got a replacement part off ebay and there is no fuel pump in there.

I have heard that this system is self priming so im now concerned that if there isnt supposed to be a lift pump then it is over fueling the engine.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It shouldn't be able to overfuel the engine, the injection pump shouldn't allow it, it should return any excess fuel back to the tank

If it helps, my 97 v70 tdi does not have a lift pump... I don't think they have them as standard.
