Default reconditioning injectors

I have been away from the forum for some time (baby, house move...), but I started this thread and got my XC90 serviced by South Hants Garage Services in Southampton, who originally sorted out the injectors. I asked them again what they had done. He remembered the case and said they had sent them to a nearby injector specialist and the nozzles had been replaced for 40 quid each. I have a good impression of this firm by the way (http://www.independentvolvoservicing.co.uk/) and the full service only cost just over 200 pounds.

Not a bad deal when you know that volvo charges about £250 for a reconditioned injector and that is provided that return the faulty one to them ....

The dash display will be very accurate it works on ultrasonics , but can take 20 miles to stabalise after a service .. There IS a very short grey dipstick right down on the front of the block if you look down with the bonnet open you can see it .. But thats mainly for the garage , the dash display is the one to use on a daily basis ..
