I'm sorry to see the state of your wagon, can't believe anyone would sink that low.

Good work on finding it though, I would get it back from the insurers and fix it back up.

Bloody brilliant work on tracking the car down. I hope the scum bag gets what is coming to him no matter what form it takes. As others have said, it looks mostly cosmetic. I wonder if folks might be willing to donate a few major bits to at least get her back on the road for you. If I had any 240 bits then I would happily pass them on.

Can you go over to the storage place and make an inventory of what is required in the interim and start the ball rolling?

What a thieving scumbag, here's hoping karma doesn't come around and get him!

Well done on tracking it down mate, had a similar story back in the 90's when my Mk1 Audi 200 turbo dissapeared from my driveway while I was on holiday, I tracked it down to a scrap yard 10 miles away stripped to the bone, I was absolutely gutted! I hadn't even had the chance to drive it because the fuel pump relay was shot.

I know what happened to the scrap yard owner after the police had charged him and he got a suspended sentance, but I won't be posting it on here!!

I still miss JOK 88W!

I had a Mk4 Cortina 2.3GL. My Father and I had renovated it and just before it was completed, it was stolen from a car park, never seen again. We put a lot if work in to the car just to be stolen in the 12 mins I was away from it.
Good work on tracking it down, it'll be a satisfying project should you decide to rebuild it.

Hi Lordbiscuit

Sorry to hear about your car, although congratulations on tracking it done.

I know how cross you must feel, I feel cross just reading about it.

All the best

+1 to all the other comments. Well done for tracking it down, but gutted for you that you found it in the state it was in. As others have said, let's hope whoever nicked it gets what's coming to him...

Totally gutted for you.

Hope the police look at every other car or car part in that yard as chances are if there is one stolen car there could well be more.
Thieves disgust me.

Great detective work Lets hope the scum get domestos'ed

Most likely all the cars covered will be stolen or why else protect them for banger racing?.
So very glad you got to find yours.
And this has got me thinking about all mine parked up outside!
I've had many enquiries about selling for bangering in times past, but now with rising prices and difficulty in finding spares they are suddenly worth stealing.
Brian.
