Just bought a 2001 c70 that seemed to flare in 3rd

I hope I have as good of luck as yevgeniy but i dont think I will be as lucky. I bought a cheap 2001 c70 for the same $ with 106k miles on the clock. The interior and body are perfect with a little wear on the seats but nothing bad.

When I test drove it I thought it was just flaring in third and that i could just fix the valve body but I think it might be more. The car does not seem to engage at all in 3rd gear. I am worried that the third gear anchor bolt was removed to fill the trans. I will be taking the servo cover off tonight and draining the fluid in a white bucket.

Does anyone have suggestions besides replacing the trans.

Also I was looking for a good service manual? It did also have a code for the 3rd gear servo and a low 5v voltage. I dont have the # in front of me but I can get it later, and thanks for the other great posts in yevgeniy's thread.
