240 donor car wanted in Holland?
Basicly a GLT inj. engine with automatc gearbox is what I'm after.
But if any of you guys are driving a 240 due to be scrapped becouse of rust please feel free to make me a proposal to drive it to Holland. Most eficient would be that I take you back to whichever farry you want across the coast of NL/BE/Northern Fr. So if you fancy a trip to holland with some refunds for he tripcosts please let me know.. |

I think you'd need to fetch the car yourself as the owner is hanging up his driving gloves, but from what I saw of the car, the engine, autobox and running gear are in very good order. Cheers Jack |

Regretfully the engine is the B230K type. This carb type of engine is much too complicated for me.
The mentioned glt engine will be a replacement for the B21E and older BW55 driveline in my 1979 GLE. |

Steve wil drive a 240 glt to me and collect the wheels.
Hi steve, If you want these wheels soooo desperately. Why not pop in and collect them whilst getting me a set of virgo's and if necessary you can leave the car on top of them also with me...

That's a very nice looking car.
It looks like a 265 but without the wheelarch chrome trims. Does your car have its original front panels? In the UK I think that front end would have been fitted only to a 265; a 245 GLE would have had a flat bonnet (hood) like this Also, those wheels were optional on the 264/5. I don't know whether they were available factory fitted on the 244/5 in the UK. It's a nice idea to swap in the later engine and gearbox. Are you not tempted to put in a turbo engine & auto box from a 7/9 series? Cheers John |
