Default How long do tyres last?

I'm wondering if anyone can give me an indication of how many miles I ought to get out of my new XC60 before needing to change the tyres? Obviously it's dependent on several factors, but a ballpark estimate would be appreciated if anyone has any thoughts.
Cheers.

Just changed my fronts at 24500 miles.

Rears have got around 4-5mm left on them.

Mine is a D5 manual 2009 model.

Oil level; as with most cars there'll be a warning on the dashboard if the level drops too low. Sadly Volvo stopped their automatic/electronic tyre pressure monitoring so we have to do that the good old-fashioned way with a pressure gauge at each wheel!

I asked about tyre wear because although my car is only six weeks old I've really enjoyed my honeymoon period and have already done over 5000 miles!
