Default immobiliser antenna ring

I'm looking to replace the antenna ring on my car due to a starting problem I have, Does anyone know where I can get one or is it a trip to my local Volvo dealer ?

Trip to the dealer, however it's unlikely you need a new one, more likely that the connections need cleaning.
To be effective the cleaning needs to be done with abrasive / diamond file on the antenna ring pins and some contact grease used to preserve the connection.

talking of connections its 50-50 whether it is the antenna ring or the terminals on the immobiliser unit , Volvo do new terminals with wire already attached so you can solder it to the original wires ... all part of a bulletin fix ...

Default antenna ring

Had a new one fitted in June to the 2003 C70 convertible by local volvo specialist.
No problems since.
Part was 27.00 and they fitted it in minutes while I watched

I've cleaned the connector pins and so far it's working fine, Fingers crossed.
