Default 1.6d engine hesitation HELP!! please

hi guys

hopefully someone will know the answer to my question i have a 1.6d s40 on a 06 plate its currently on 93k and the car is occasionaly on low revs hesitating before accelerating away does anyone have any idea of what the cause could be??? i've changed the DPF sensor a few months back as the pipe ends had knackered. the vehicle has also had the fluid for the dpf relenished by volvo but i really dont fancy taking it back to them as they ripped me off on a recent service ive lived with the problem but would like to get it sorted before it causes another problem.

many thanks

onkar

Hi onkar, we have a C30 1.6d that keeps going in to limp mode (as well as the hesitation problem????), and a few sites advise that the problem may be with the DPF sensor. Since you changed yours on your 1.6D S40, could you please advise where it is, and what it looks like.

Kind Regards
David

hi guys

the dpf sensor is located at the front of the engine and leads to the battery box it has two black pipes lead out of it that run from the dpf to the battery box and a little module, ive spent the last couple of months stripping the engine down and messing about with it another possible fault causing the car to go into limp mode is the turbo pressure sensor located on the inlet manifold after the turbo which is a £25 fix this normally causes the engine to show up other faults its worth replacing both these items before looking at the more expensive options.

I had a similar issue, i was having a slight hesitation with my c30 and it was the EGR valve. , no warning on dash but it was replaced under warranty.
