New iPhone Software

Just seen there is a new version of iPhone software, has anybody tried it in their car yet? But dubious about updating after problems with a recent update that was not compatible, the car said NO!

Just downloading the new iTunes 10.5 now which is a prerequisite to allow me then to download/intall the new IOS 5.0 software for all my iPhone 4, iTouch & iPad etc.
Reckon this will be the No 1 global download of all time tonight - already I have noticed network traffic in the last hour slowing a lot.
Will keep you posted latter on I hope.....................

Yup, updated iTunes but holding off updating phone and touch, being a chicken and letting someone else try it out first!

Would imagine that Apple servers are feeling hard pressed tonight.

Ios5 downloaded but all I get at every attempt is an internal error has occurred been at it for 3 hrs now

iTunes 10.5 is Ok, but cannot yet upgrade iPhone 4 - it needs to "connect" to the iTunes server to initiate the iCloud featues but due to unprecedent network traffic on the apple servers it is currently unable to initiate this feature so I will wait until tomoorow night now.
Also so many app developers have just released upgraded versions of their apps tonight with IOS 5 featues which users are also globally downloading tonight......................always tomorrow .....................

Finally managed to upgrade my iPhone at around 06:00 this morning, after several attempts and problems contacting the servers at Apple. So just keep trying and you will get through eventually.
I'll post later to confirm the upgrade hasn't stopped the phone working with the Volvo software.

iPad updated fine last night, though a little slow. The MobileMe to iCloud transition is restricted at the moment due to demand.

Had a bit of an epic updating to IOS 5.0, kept getting error code 3002 or 3173. It was just a matter of keep trying and eventually it updated. It does take a while this time round too. Alot longer than than previous updates (don't mean the download part).

Ios5 is working with my iPhone 4 and XC60. There are some issues with demand on Apples servers, but keep trying and it will connect eventually. People are reporting problems with the install, but the fixes are on the Apple support pages.
