Yeah the arcadia were wierd I've seen them on a lot of S40/v40 even S60 and they always looked really good just for some reason they looked odd on the gold car. You'll get a set of crater cheap just keep an eye on ebay, I've sold 2 sets & I think I only got £67 for the first set and £89 for the second set, first one quite low as I put collection only, then I found paisley freight £30 delivery for any set of 4 wheel/tyres up to 17" really good prompt service as well used them a few times (on first name terms with the driver ;-) )

Got my bluetooth cd player hooked up. I bought a Volvo cd holder from Rufe to fill up the double din gap and keep an oem look. I also replaced the old blank switch that had a screw in it from the old CD changer controller.

Unfortunately I've ran into a problem with the Volvo sub/amp wiring.

I bought a Autoleads PC9-414 adapter for the sub/amp, this has a 6 pin connector. For some reason, the sub/amp connector cable on my car has 8 pins?

On the back of my head unit, I noticed is has 8 pin and 6 pin outputs.

I'm thinking the 6 pin output on the head unit would match 6 pin connector adapter I bought

Does anyone know the difference between the 6 and 8 pin connectors?

It's rubbish running with no sub/amp

On the headunit one socket is for the amp and the other is for the CD changer, I can't remember which is which but on the older type SC series the AMP socket is to the outside and has six pins.

Most phase 2 S/V40s were fitted with the CD changer cable for when an owner wished to install a changer, I reckon you're holding that cable in the picture. If you don't have a disc changer fitted have a look behind the NS boot panel for the other end of the cable, it should taped back onto the loom.

The amp, if fitted, is located above the OS rear wheel arch and is a seperate part from the sub/bass speaker.

I've now fitted my freshly powdercoated crators

and a tow bar. I got the Volvo Moose logo screen printed onto my tow bar cover at my work, has turned out really well

Now it just needs a good wash and valet on the inside, then an MTE remap once I've saved up a bit more and it will be finished
