1800: Offset required for Minilite wheels for 1800s

    Hi my first post.
I have found loads of useful info up to now

Hope someone can help with this question.
I recently purchased a 1967 Volvo 1800s it came with original wheels. I have decided to purchase a set of Minilites or Compomotive ML 1555's size 15 x5.5 as I have always thought they went very well with the car.
I am likely to run them with 195/65/15 Michelin or Continental tyres. I have found loads on the forum about PCD's etc but I seem to find contradictory info on all websites about the correct offset for the wheels.

Does anyone know what is the correct amount for this Minilite size wheel?

The offset for these cars all depends on the width of the wheel, as it is the backspacing that is the critical dimension, in order to avoid the tyres scrubbing on the inner arches. The repro 5.5J wide factory style steel wheels are ET15, and I believe that the genuine Minilites for Volvo Amazon & 1800 fitment in 5.5J width are ET12. Both those offsets will be fine for that width of wheel.

Some further reading on fitting wider wheels, which may be of interest:

I went to minilite direct and am now on my third set bought this way, I did not need to state a pcd and they look great. There is a gallery pic on their site for the Saint (US) they supplied a set for so they seem to have the correct set up.

        Cheers
