Angry Gear stick stuck in gear

My wife had a problem with the gear stick sticking in gear. It happend when she tried to start the car on a very cold morning and found she could not get the gear stick to move. She tried agin later in the day and after much effort managed to get the gear stick to move and now it seems fine. My wife is now worried it will happen again. The car is a 2 wheel drive D3 eco drive and 2 years old. Has any one had the same problem.

Alloa in Scotland was the home of the famous Alloa Indian Pale Ale.
A world class brew.

No disrespect, but even today, I find it hard to understand the lack of knowlege, North of the Watford Gap.

I remember, in the days of Sir Freddie Laker, a question was asked on Univeristy Challenge.
What is the capital of Scotland?
The teams, Oxford and Cambridge, thought hard and long about this.
A member of one of the teams (forgotten which one), stated that Laker landed at Preswick Airport and this is the capital of Scotland.

There you go.

I personally haven't heard of it but I would not immediately assume that it was outside UK given that this is primarily a UK forum - idle curiousity would also have made me look at google to find where such an intersting name came from - Chepstow

I agree with Tem, despite all the education and availability of information there is very little knowledge of the geography for these islands by most people.

Is this a geography website or a Volvo site to help owners with problems? I am beginning to have my doubts!!

Alloa should be very familiar to anyone of a certain age who used to hear the Scottish football results at the end of Grandstand on a Saturday afternoon - Alloa Athletic, Queen of the South and Hamilton Academicals still stick in the memory!
