Default 12v sockets not working

Both my dashboard and passenger 12v sockets aren't working. They both look clean enough inside so could it be the fuse ?If so where is it amongst the plethora of fuseboxes in these cars.

You need to undo two srews to get to the fusebox

Never seen one blow from putting in a phone charger etc. but the actual cigarette lighters that go in there have a tendency to corrode over time, short a bit, and draw more current than they should. Which will kill the fuse reliably...

To add to what the above poster posted, the V70 is identical to the S60 with regards to that fuse box...

Wouldn't it be wonderful if when you purchased a car you got a little book that told you all about it, things like how to change a tyre, how to work the stereo or even where the fuses are located...?

In Volvo's case you would need a trailer to fit the book in !
