Default Swirl Arm

Anyone got a part number or a link for the swirl arm thing? Mine broke a while back and I'd like to replace it.
It's for a 2005 2.4d 163. Ta.

Volvo parts dept is the best place they are about £ 3 but several types are available , they were modified but also the swirl shaft was modified too . your wear is more on the ball which is part of the swirl arm so buying the latest parts and fitting those is the best option unless you can find a metal ball and socket link from a model shop or similar to repair it yourself ..

Clan, I have an 07 S80 and you suggested I put one layer of insulation tape on the ball (which I did, along with a new connecting arm). This has worked OK so far. The swirl arm coming out of the engine operates fairly loosely. Is this normal? I believe the whole swirl arm butterfly assembly is plastic. Do they normally stay intact or can they break? Also, where the arm comes out is fairly oily.

good to hear that is still hanging on :-)
Yes the swirl shaft shouldnt offer much resistance it is indeed plastic with plastic bushes and any oil coming out is a bit of wear in the bushes but not really a problem . Never had a problem with the actual shaft and butterflies , just the ball where the rod fits wears away . The later cars from 2008 dont seem to have problems now , maybe the plastic is harder .
