Default C70 SC-901 wiring

I finally made a start into reverting the C70 back to its original stereo system, instead of the Sony head unit in there at the minute. Starting to wish I hadn't!

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or even pinouts for the SC-901 head unit and amp?

By removing about 3 in line loom adaptors I've got the right plug to power the head unit, both antennae, AMP and CD on the back of the head unit, but not DOLBY, the green 5 pin plug or the 10 pin black plug which presumably goes to the amp?

At the amp I have the big 2 pin plug and the other end of AMP, but am missing a connector for the 8 pin grey plug. Is this related to the black 10 pin at the head unit which I don't have?

The centre speaker was butchered to be used as the output for handsfree as well...

Any help with this appreciated!

Go to This Page and download the diagrams for your car TP3932202 1998 S70 V70 C70 it is a pdf about 73MB in size, once downloaded save it to your computer so you can reuse it later on.

Open the pdf and go straight to page 59 of the pdf and you will find what you are looking for, an explanation for the wire colour codes can be found near the front of the wiring diagrams, make sure you check this rather than making assumptions as the abbreviated letters are from the Swedish language rather than English!

The center speaker is fed straight from the head unit the connections on the diagram are +CF and -CF shown top right of the head unit on the diagram - Mike

Huge thanks for that Mikealder, it now works and sounds incredible!

The driver's door speakers sound a bit weak and the centre speaker looks to have a broken wire (it had been hacked about to be used as phone handsfree speaker, sacrilege!) so I'll need to sort those out too.

Will the centre speaker work without the dolby processor? Couldn't find one or the lead/plug for it so I assume it's missing? I had the ashtray out looking for it.

If the centre speaker is there it will work without the Dolby as it plugs into the back of the head

But only full surround sound is achieved with the dolby processor?

I can't hear the centre speaker even after fiddling with the fader for the centre, but there looks to be a capacitor here with nothing into it (metal wire with no insulation may have been connected at one stage?)

Center Speaker works only if the Dolby processor is fitted. The Mode button which cycles the Sound Modes (ST, 3CH, Dolby) only works if the Dolby processor is connected.
It is true that the radio powers the Center speaker.
