Default Problem Solved: Affordable coilovers.

After having a massive headache about getting the 940 lower and stiffer for less than £730 (and a whole load of hassle involving getting spindles to NORWAY), I decided to give Gaz (the suspension people, not your local McDonalds manager) a ring. I was expecting to be shafted with very little lube for something simple, but no! I got quoted £65 per rear shock with adjustable damping, any length I want (obviously not height adjustable, I've got something in mind for the spring side of things that MIGHT work) and £130 per front shock, fully height adjustable but no damper adjustability. And obviously peace of mind as Gaz are a top notch, British company. With me coming from Fords and Vauxhalls, they're rated very highly. I don't think this price involves any springs but I'm not that bothered, they're cheap enough.

All I have to do is measure the shocks up for them and send them some spindles to gut.

That's my Christmas present to me sorted, then.

PS: I do not work for Gaz.

I have the rear Gaz adjustables. I do love the ability to instantly change between comfort and sport type settings. You really can make them rock solid if you want! The ride they provide seems a little odd on mine but that could be down to so many things!

Just for info, they recommend starting with the dial set fully anti-clockwise (soft), and then turning clockwise until you get what you want. I find that 12-15 clicks in is about right.

I'm afraid not. They said they didn't need measurements as they'd done suspension for a 940 before.
