v50 tailgate won't open
Hi
The tailgate on my v50 won't open i first noticed an issue when it started opening itself then it wouldn't unlock, sometimes if i pressed the light key on my fob and then pressed it off again the tailgate would unlock, sometimes it would unlock when turning the ignition key, now it doesn't unlock at all, i have read previous threads and replaced the micro switch assembly ( handle / part number 30753757 ) , when taking the old one off it was filled with water so i was positive this would cure it, but still it won't unlock. I noticed the plug connector one of the 3 wires was out and at first when i put the wire in the tailgate clicked and unlocked but now nothing . does anyone know what number the fuse is . cheers Don |

Could be the wiring loom to the boot that's to blame.

What year? The wires in the tailgate loom are pretty accessible is you pull the interior tailgate trim, but there are some tricks to that. In the pix below, part #11 needs to come off first, then #37, followed by #10 held by about eight snap plugs:
