How to check if my Volvo has an alarm system?
Hello, recently I bought a second hand Volvo S40 (2004) and I dont know if the car has an alarm system or not. During locking/unlocking it never emits any sound. None of the tests from the owner's manual succeeded to trigger the alarm. However it has this LED on the dashboard (which is never blinking), this button for deactivating some alarm's sensors too. Is there any chance that the Volvo has an alarm but is is malfunctioning and how can I verify this?

If it's not working, it's probably because the siren has a fault tilt sensor and has been deactivated |

Do the "Panic function" of the remote control has something related to the alarm's siren or is using the car's horn?
