It does have a cover and does bolt into the boot floor using the volvo bracket. I'll take some pictures tomorrow if you want.
I'll get you a part number too
There's a little loom that plugs into the electric arial supply too that should come with the changer.

I've ripped my car to bits and taken loads of photos. I'll post them when I get home. Mine is an 850 but they are exactly the same parts as i have owned an S70 in the past.

Post to come soon.

Here are some photos of how to remove/refit the changer. with the part number of the cover.

Open boot, cd changer is on the left<<<<
CD Cover.jpg
Take cover off by pulling up
Cover lying next to changer.jpg
Part number of cover if a new one is required.
Cover part number.jpg
remove boot carpet
No cover with carpet.jpg
to this
Cd changer no carpet.jpg
Remove both 10mm bolts and lift
Unplug cd changer.jpg
Dont pull too far as its still plugged in
Close up of plugs.jpg
unplug and remove cd changer
Hole left after removal.jpg
Remove boot trim on the left and pull to centre of boot to gain access to the power aerial
Aerial connection.jpg
There's some extra wiring for my rear LED strobes for the track safety car role but you get the jist
If you dont have the adaptor for the power then an inline splice will do, just check which one you go into (need to be the ignition supply)

Refit is reverse of removal

HAVE FUN

Sorry mate, dont know what you mean, which back light?
The cover just pushes on and is held in place by the foam on the inside.

The bracket is held in place by 2 10mm bolts and the other hole is for the wiring loom to clip into.
