Default Replacing headlight bulb in S60

Some advice for a novice here please.

I need to replace the "dipped beam" headlight bulb in my 2003 (M-Reg) S60-D5.

I thought it should be a relatively simple exercise, and I'm hoping it still is, but I'm not sure where to start. Can someone give me some tips or point to a previous post or reference I can use?

Oh, and what bulbs should I be buying?

Cheers,

John.

Wouldn't MY2003 be 52/03/53 reg? M reg was 1994 IIRC...(or 1973....!)

Changing the bulb is fairly easy on the MY2003 as "the great one" says...

Now MY05...that's a different story.

that M-reg got me too :-)

I think I nagged most people over and over again regarding bulb change in my S60 and in the end succeeded too..... though I cant say the same about my hands!

as its 2003, I wont go on but mine is/was a 2005 which was a right pain in the backside to change. side, and high beams were easy enough, the main dipped beam was another story
airbox out on one side, and lots of grazing on another etc

Have a look at:
S60 2003 Link

It'll open at wiper blades, just scroll down to page 132 for bulbs...

Apologies... it's an MW52 reg.

Does that make it easier than some of the later models I've read about that seem to require removing the bumper?

Same as the link above. It's the 54 plate on models (plastic lenses instead of glass and jet washers instead of wipers) that require either:
a) small hands
or
b) remove the bumper

No worries....MW indicates the car was registered in Manchester or Merseyside (according to http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/inf104.pdf), the 52 indicating 1st September 02 to 28th Feb 03.

Learning something every day. This is the first car I've owned in the UK so all the number plate stuff is all new to me - I did without a car for 10 years since I left Oz - can't imagin how now I've got it!
