Default Stainless bumpers

I have been in touch with Harringtons and they are now doing 1800 S/S bumpers. Was thinking of doing a multi buy.
No 1800 specific pics yet on the web site but for more info check out
http://www.groupharrington.com/shine/

PM me if you are interested.

I wonder if we can combine it with our Amazon bumer multibuy? We had four people, so needed one more to get to the lowest price.

Hi Stumph,

Could be. I'm waiting to hear back from Harringtons if they will count the 1800 & Amazons together. Are there 4 definate Amazons? Anyway if we can get 5 in total then we will have a very good deal.

Hi again,

Harringtons have confirmed that they will include the 1800 bumpers with the Amazons for a bulk buy. They will post to individual adresses under an 'umbrella' order like this but there would be an extra charge.
If its cheaper then we could get the lot delivered to me in Leicester. Some could pick up from me, and Russ who is ordering an 1800 set has already said he may be able to work out something with his works van for those in the South East.
I am hoping to go to Scotland in the near future, so could always arrange something there.
I'll pist the breakdown of prices shortly. Just remains to confirm how many Amazon sets to order

Think we'll get them for considerably cheaper than that. In a recent email Harringtons quote £399 a set including vat and delivery for a purchase of 5 sets. This excludes a 2.5% charge for import duty.
The 1800 sets are £469 for a purchase of 5 sets.
They will all cost £13 extra to send them to your own address.

OK, so far we have:

2 Amazon sets - Stumph & Archie boy
2 1800 sets - Me, Russ

Any more?

My only concern is that stainless steel is quite soft and will scratch badley at the drop of a hat. Also it will deform easily if nocked where as chrome is very tough, albeit usualy crap quality and the steel is much stronger. I would be interested to hear from people who have got stainless on cars that are used daily, after a year or so. I do hope they are as good as they look as they should be onto a winner

Hi Dean,

Alan becket has had a set on his Karmann Ghia for over a year and he is very happy with them.
Also for established traders like Amazon Cars, etc to start stocking them, I would conclude that this is a positive indication of their quality.

Hope this helps,

Gordon

Default 1800 bumpers

I was looking at getting my bumpers re-chromed again. If we can get a good deal put me down for a set !!

SS is soft but you can weld, repair and re-polish.
