She's arrived !
Woo hoo !
...my XC60 D3 SE was delivered today. It's in Chameleon blue pearl/off black interior, with DAB Radio and Front Parking Sensors spec'ed as extra's. For those worrying about the D3...don't...it's an absolute cracker !! Admittedly it was last November when I tried the 2.4 DRIVe, but the D3 is every bit as good as I remember the 2.4 with plenty of power and smooth delivery. Right.....off now to have a play with my new baby !!!! |

Thanks VolvoXc60.....
You're going to hate me, but the car was ordered on the 22nd April. Don't know how the lease company managed to get delivery so quickly. Guess there was a "build slot" pre-ordered by the dealer which was fully changeable. I've not added to many extras over and above the SE spec so that might have helped ! |

Please tell us how noisy is the D3 engine. I was to choose between the D3 or the t2.0 petrol and I chose the petrol, I will be collecting mine end of the month.

Maybe because its the leasing company has such big buying power that the little guy is made to wait? Looks like you've been lucky, I'm happy for you.
I'm very happy to hear you comments on the engine too. It just makes me want it more. Last edited by Teejay1; Jun 16th, 2010 at 19:53. |

My only niggle in our short relationship is the power tailgate. Quiet, but slow, and switching it to manual operation makes it feel very heavy as you overcome the motor resistance (oh and being 6'5" tall it doesn't open quiet high enough for my liking !!). But by far the best car I have ever owned......and I'm lovin the colour (another leap of faith as it was chosen by eliminating the colours I didn't want rather than picking it out in its own right). Looks bluey/goldy/greyish dependent on light and angle of viewing..... A proper trip out is required this weekend to stretch its legs on the motorway !! |
