Hi,

Just out of interest I was wondering does queue assist just accelerate and brake or does it steer slightly too?

I saw a post here somewhere and one person said it steers the other said it doesnt?

Thanks

if such a thing existed, i would not trust it...i want an element of my own controll in my vehicles

why not do a google search instead? maybe something might crop up there....

Copied from the 'Gizmag' site :-

"Upgraded Adaptive Cruise Control

Volvo Cars' Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has now been upgraded with a queue assist function. The radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control maintains the set time gap to the vehicle in front all the way down to standstill, making this comfort-enhancing system usable in slow-moving queues with repeated starting and stopping."

The full Gizmag address for this is

Thanks for all the responses guys, its only for slow speeds

I found the post I was talking about:

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=114369&highlight=queue+assist

This week volvo demonstrated their first working road train system with one driver driving the lead car a string of volvos followed driving , braking and steering themselves

I have to admit the above demonstration sounds quite impressive, I just wasn't sure whether or not it steered the car, but Clan says that it does, im not sure how/how well the steering part of the theory would work though, lol.

Thanks again
