View Full Version : Volvo 440 Li breaking for spares

Hiya folks. My trusty wee friend has come to the end of the road. It would cost me too much to get it through the MOT (mainly brake pipes and worn suspension as well rusty rear wheel arches). I cannot bear to scrap her and would love to see parts going to new homes. I've already removed and sold a couple of parts but there are plenty of useful things still available. I will remove and store anything I think may be re-used before the end of Jan and then I'll have to scrap her.

If the car has alloys, are they for sale?

P13 440, I am looking to dispose of a 440 with alloys. See the posting headed "440 (1996) 35,000 miles - for sale" and thread that has pictures on it. So, the alloys are for sale and come complete with car! I'm not sure how practical that is but if of any interest, please let me know.

West Coast, sorry, I'm not sure if this is good/bad form but I noticed you had said you had no alloys. My 440 has been in the family since new, a great car but now just impractical to keep it running. Best of luck with your sale/finding a good home for yours.

Darn it would of been ideal if you had alloys, as i could of just driven down the road ha ha, thanks anyway

Sorry Owenski. My old friend has gone to the breakers/killers in Kirkcaldy. It does not feel right but I HAD to. I lost her at the end of Jan. Water pump: < 1 year old. F/OS Brake caliper < 18 months old. I still have her heart and soul though. Look after your baby.
