Popping into a dealership today I noticed new cars with immediate delivery. Volvo are currently doing a deal with £2k off list prices plus other goodies. Talking generally to the salesman he stated that they had several V70s arriving with different specs in the next few weeks. The question is........ has Ford had some influence in the selling techniques. Previously all brochures yelled the fact that you ordered the car to your specs for delivery in 6 weeks or so. So now we are getting off the shelf motors. On the other hand is it the fact that people want things NOW not in 6 weeks. Or is it that the motor trade is in the dolldrums and they have got to shift stock fast to keep the factories open. Maybe all three. Cheers Nige

I was watching Top Gear at the weekend and they were mentioning this type of thing happening all over the place at the moment so dealers can make their quotas for the year. SHould be some interesting deals at many places, if you ask....
