SC-801 stereo

Could someone tell me the specification of the above mentioned system fitted to my 850 T5. I have been told that it is an upgraded stereo system with amplifer.

The sound is good, but I have not CD or autochanger !

The price of the autochanger and control lead are almost the same as a new system...

I would prefer to keep the original stereo....

If I fitted a new stereo single or double DIN can the amplifier which has been fitted by Volvo be used? Where is it located?

The headunit itself, the component named SC801, is not upgraded - its the standard non volvo cd unit, and it doesn't require an external amplifier (only the top of the range SC900 series does) however, it does have an input for a volvo amplifier, which your system may or may not have.

have a look underneath the passenger seat and see if there is a black box down there..if there is, guess what?!
