The above is a picture of a Cul-de-sac just inside the congestion charge zone of London. Can anyone work out the point?

You said it yourself, Stu.

The sign is there because the cul de sac is just inside the zone and therefore MUST be marked.

Presumably there is an expensive camera there to catch all of the comings and goings.

Perhaps the presence of a camera will enable the residents to negotiate a cheaper insurance charge for their properties etc.

It isnt a congestion charge !!!!!! Its a pollution charge !!!! They dont know the difference of course as this is just another mad government scheme rushed in by somebody who is in a position to avoid paying it.
If its a congestion charge how come LPG, CNG, and dual fuel cars are exempt !!!!!! (except for a £10 registration fee) Its not just a charge for people in the zone either. Do you really think companies who go into the zone with vans, cars, lorries etc will only charge extra to those in the zone. Will B.T. charge extra for telephone lines because they are inside the zone....nope its shared between us all. Another tax Tony and his cronies have put on us all.
