I am reluctantly selling my beloved 480 Celebration (No 73/480). Over the last three years I have invested considerable time, effort, and money in restoring this car to as near showroom condition as (for a 16 year old car) I could.

I have maintained and serviced her myself and have reams of receipts and paperwork recording this.

She is in excellent condition inside and out, as hopefully the photographs show. Items replaced over time include various suspension parts, new brake discs and pads all round, handbrake cables, cambelt change, driveshaft & CV boots, alternator, water pump, ignition coil, boot struts, boot lid wiring loom etc etc. She also had brand new rear light units about 18 months ago. Even the front spoiler is there and intact.

She has as many genuine accessories as I have been able to find for her - these include the pollen filter, floor trays, mudflaps, locking wheel-nuts and the cup-holder armrest. She also has a Volvo CR905 head-unit, with 6 disc changer in the boot.

She has covered just over 123,000 miles and never misses a beat. Absolutley no reason to think she does not have lots of life left in her yet. I average about 36 - 38 mpg from her.

With the exception of the passenger seat heating everything works exactly as it should. There are no electrical problems and no leaks. Other than a very slight bit of surface rust just starting on the off-side rear wheel arch she has no rust either.

She comes with tax until end of July, MOT until mid-August, and 3/4 tank of petrol. The Pirelli tyres all round have lots of tread left yet.

I am looking for £1,000 (or very close) for her. I would love to see her go to a fellow enthusiast who will continue to cherish her as I have done. Happy to provide further information, or photographs, on request; car is available to view near York.

I have been asked for photos of the rear wheel arches and the dashboard, so - while I try to get enough posts to reply to PMs (which I will respond to as soon as I am able) I attach these below.

There is no "peel" on the instrument panel, and the ex-turbo gauge has been re-calibrated and works as a vacuum guage/econometer

I can also confirm that ever since I installed and sealed in new rear lights the boot does not leak at all, the information centre works perfectly, and the pop-up lights work fine - smoothly and they go up and down together. Using genuine Volvo bulbs in the DLRs seems to ensure this!

I have seen this car and can vouch for its condition. If I could afford it I would have it myself but as it is I have just had to take one of our volvos off the road due to incresed running costs. Hope you find a good home for her.

Many thanks to everyone for their interest and complimentary comments; car has gone to family member so (for better or for worse) I can still keep half an eye on her....
