ECU fault codes....who pays?

I've just had a new radiator fitted, and the muppets managed to get two fault codes stored on the ecu. Luckily I can read them off myself and reset it. If I was in a later V70 then this could easily be a dealer job if I didn't have a code reader.
So if a non-Volvo garage manages to set fault codes, who should pay to get them read?
Anyone ever get a garage to cough up for code resetting?

The local garage I go to for my mot's have a bloke come in to do any fault code work.
I don't know what the charges are as I do all my own work.
