I'm only a marginal fan of "private" plates but saw one yesterday that would be just the ticket for the press-ahead Volvo driver;

"T5 GRR"

Unfortunately it was on a .......Saab. Never mind.

They may yet come back to the fold.

We got B4ELA to hide our year as
1) less pressure to upgrage from N reg
2) my wife's shortened name is Ela
3) I never had so much expense B4Ela ...muahahahahaha
I think i paid about £400 all in, well worth it as Volvos don't seem to show their age like some cars...
4) she refused to have B1 ELA as she thought she might get ladies of an alternative variety chatting her up...damn her..i was going to watch!!!

I quite innocently bought mine and never paid any attention until someone called it "the Knob car" as my plate is "N***OBB".

Honestly.

I did the same thing. Bought the car and drove it home then my best mate turned round and said it stood for H**ny Young B**ch! I can't look at it in the same light these days! :-)

Easy now T 1 GER!! I managed to keep the same year of registration letter and the same county of registration with mine but the problem is that dealers only recognise the original registration when checking for spare parts etc.

All the best, Peter.
