Hi All,
I have arranged to buy an auto gearbox from a club member for my 1988 760 turbo Auto as my gearbox needs to be warm before it will change up. I have to let it tick over for 15 mins or so in the morning before I want to drive off to work or it will be over a mile up the road before it will change up.
However as I live in Northern Ireland and the gearbox is in Tyne & Wear we have been quoated £200 to get it home. I will be in England on Sunday 10th April returning from another aid run to Bosnia.
Now I was wondering if anybody would be travelling from the Tyne & Wear area towards Dumfries / Carlisle / Stranraer areas that could lift it for me and leave it somewhere suitable along the M6 / A75 so we can collect it on our way home.
Can anyone help me. Fuel costs would of course be refunded.
Thanks.
Neil Stevenson.
