Empty Cartridge Cases

Had the carpets up in my V70 today... look what Kent Constabulary left for me (attached). You would have thought they'd have checked the car properly before selling it!

Beats finding acorns under the bonnet, I guess - and I've solved "what's making that rattling noise"!! :-)

A few years ago a good friend was the service manager for a Ford dealership here in my home town in N. Ireland and they had the contract for serviceing the police vehicles. Every month with out fail one of the mechanics would find a weapon or live rounds in one of the armoured cars.

On one occassion a customer's car needed to be collected and two mechanics were dispatched to collect it. They were told to take a car from the service bays (it needed test driven you understand) and they drove off in an unmarked police car. It was seen by the station inspector driven by two scruffy scroats in dark boilersuits and reported as stolen. It took some negotiations and a free car service or two to keep the contract.
