OK, so I have just installed a new chipped ECU in my T5 and am staggered at the results. Overall driving experience is vastly improved. Engine response is much more instantaneous. My wife didn't mind me doing this one, even though she threatened divorce when I suggested RICA or SUPERCHIP.
OK, specifics....
bhp is up to 375, torque to 480 lb/f
economy - average 43mpg
My friends are well impressed. They are all hankering after lifts from me just so I can blow all their friends in Scoobies, Evos, Novas, Cinquecentos away. There doesn't appear to be any drawbacks. Even my insurers promised no additional premium as long as I let them have a go!
So, where can you get it and how much i hear you ask in disbelief...
