View Full Version : Where to buy automotive wiring conduit?

I'm trying to find a source for the underbonnet wiring conduit that Volvo seem to cover their new engines in. It's the black flexible ribbed tubing that they tie up with insulating tape... definitely on all '70 series models I've seen.

Presumably it's not the same stuff as "electrical" black, flexible, ribbed conduit (that would be too simple) - as it has to be heatproof to an extent.

Does anyone know where I can buy this from - other than from Volvo direct? I've tried Halfrauds and two local motor factors, no luck yet.

Kind regards,

Alastair

Hi Alastair,

Try this

http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/sleeving/sleeving.html

The plastic tubing is heat resistant and should do the job. The link should direct you straight to the right page but have a little look around the site for everything else they have to offer.

Regards

Also try BLUE BEEHIVE on 01437 890 708. I've used this firm for a very long time and found them great to deal with.

I bought some hi temp tape stuff from RS Components. The VOovo stuff had started to crack and go brittle.

Thanks again guys.

I actually ordered from Vehicle Wiring Products on Friday - the parcel turned up Saturday morning, identical to Volvo's product as far as I can tell! Success.
