always wanted one, my father had about 4 sapphires...ranging from the 1.6 to 2.o litre ghia version.

test drove a few of the cossies but all were severely abused by anyone i knew...which was a terrible shame.

Isn't the black lip on the rear spoiler from a 500? Mate had an RS and it was just pure white! Either way, a belter.

did you know that earlier mondeo engines where the same as the ones they have in the mk5b/6 escorts? i managed to shoehorn a 2.5 v6 mondy lump into my mk6 petrol blue escort :thumbs_up:

My currently daily drive is a 340bhp 99 Subaru Legacy GTB that achieves 16mpg on a good day!

I have a stripped out, Integra Type R engined ek shape civic that I bought for track and I'm currently building a classic Impreza STI for the same reasons!

I had the pleasure of driving both a tuned Saph and a genuine RS500 on the same day a few years back - 2 very nice cars. An associate of mine also runs a Escos packing 500+BHP, I've never been in it but he describes his Westy Hyabusa as tame in comparison.

The plan was to continue to use the G on a regular basis, and turn to the Volvo for family outings, grocery runs, and so on. But, alas! The Infiniti languishes in my garage while the Volvo's being used for EVERYTHING including daily driving. It's just such a pleasure to drive...

Just turned 32 - picking up my first Volvo this week, a '54-reg S60 D5 SE.

Moving from my beloved Seat Leon Cupra R 225 - needed something more economical and comfortable and it was between the Volvo and an ST Mondeo TDCi.... the Volvo won on the fact it has the S60R alloys and brake kit fitted, and it looked cooler ;)
