Missus had sold her Picasso whilst we have a nosey around for a seven seater for her. 'What's the problem you might say'?..............

Well in the meantime she's driving around in my beloved, cherished and much loved S60 whilst I drive my company's van... I was happy to give up the cream leather, heated seats and wicked stereo to keep her desperation of finding a new car at bay so we didn't have to rush and end up with a clanger.

Well last month she'd 'kerbed' it didn't she, silly mare took a chunk out of my o/s/r alloy and my tyre. I just put it down to these things happening from time to time.:stormy:

Well today, whilst I was in the car, SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN!!:broken_heart:
This time she's chunked my o/s/f alloy whilst taking a bigger chunk off the tyre. Then she blamed me for talking to her whilst SHE was parking!!!!.

Now then, through fear of me going nuts and dispensing with my morals which were instilled by my dearest parents - I require some suggestions to help me get by for another 8 weeks.

She has to drive my car, that's not an option. I can't let her have my Co van either so any help would be appreciated.

Fire away, feel free to take the p!ss if you must.

buy 4 steel wheels, 4 tyres
fit them
send the alloys off for a Proper refurb

do NOT re fit tyres to alloys/alloys to car UNTILL she has her own car.

Make sure HER car has steel wheels.... (avoid the problem that way)

be prepared to refurb your once clean cream leather , the footwells, glove box and other "sutffed full of stuff" places when you get your car back, hide the 2nd key/fob and dont let her have them again ever at all

that or divorce

or get her a bus pass,, "it will be cheaper than getting the Other two wheels refurbed after you destroy Those".

divorce would be the best option....

Once you have a crash, the car never feels the same again :-|
That S60 has been lost to the dark side. Trade it in for another.

Sorry to hear about that but why not buy her a banger to drive round in something like an fiat or escort and hide the Volvo keys and never let her near it again

Teach her how to drive properly.

And stop telling her that you have 9 inches. Its no wonder she cant acuarretly judge distances.

That made me laugh.... a lot.
An inspritational comment but sadly wrong. Mine is 10 inches.... but only when it's angry

Just tell her she owes you a new set of alloys and if she doesn't pay up you'll take her on the Jeremy Kyle Show!

The sheer thought of the embarrasment will have her paying up double quick.

Problem solved!! The only other option would be an expensive hire car but that would cost more than a set of alloys for that period of time.

buy her an old 740 saloon for as little as possible so she can get used to handling a proper big car and then she might be able to keep the 60 away from the kerbs

What ever car you buy her, knock 500 off the price and buy some replacement wheels.

Nah, 740 saloons are boxy too. But they're good!

Well, I've seen plenty of road worthy S40's floating around for £250-£450. Autotrader has a few for £350 taxed for a few months with some M.O.T. Once you're done with it, keep it as a spare, or strip it for parts, you'll make a few pennies on the side!

At least you haven't had the "you didn't tell me the turning circle is awful in the S60, so no wonder I ripped the wing off swinging into a parking space" excuse yet!
