Last weekend I attended the "Vintage Cup Grand Prix" in Watkins Glen, NY. I purchased a Volvo Grille Badge from a vendor which I found to be very unique and I am hoping someone will be able to give me a history about it.
It is an enamel, two piece badge - outside perimeter says "Sports Car Club of New York"- inner circle has a large volvo logo with a red lighting bold underneath it. The badge is a yellow color. The lighting bolt is reminiscent of the early 122 Volvo logo that was on fenders.
I believe the badge would be from the late 1950's or early 1960's and was made in Spain.
Any info on this badge would be appreciated.
