Hi,
Check this one out, mate.
Bought one back in June and it works really well connecting it directly to your car battery.

From what i'v been reading and a few reviews i have read the charger needs to produce at least 5 watts of power to keep cars with modern security systems ect going, otherwise your battery will still go flat if left for say one month without being started.Charger inside car on dash.

I bought one of these last year for my xc90, for when we went away for summer breaks, I'll never know if it would have provented a flat battery, but it put my mind at ease and I never had a problem !
