Hi guys & girls,

I am looking to purchase a pipercross induction kit for my volvo V50 Rdesign 2ltr diesal, does anyone have any feedback on induction kits and this engine, are they worth while and do they work ok with the management system.

Also Ive read a few threads about Dump Valves, Im picking the vibes up that these are a waste of money is this true

Probably best to get a replacement element for the standard air box as stated.

I don't know if the Diesel engine is the same but on mine the ECU is cooled via the airbox so removing this could make the ECU overheat.

You'll also get a rushing/roar noise with a CAI kit which you may or may not like.

Other things to consider is if you go for an 'oiled foam' type filter then the oil can get carried over to the MAF sensor and cause trouble (if you over do the oiling).
