I have no idea what caused the white staining effect on my rear bumper trim panel, but nothing - alcohol, degreaser, APC, Back-To-Black, Megs Trim - would get rid of them.

Here's the "before" pics:

My order of C4 and a few other goodies arrived today (took around 2 weeks, not bad going) and I gave it a try, following the instructions exactly.

Here's the "after" pics, just one coat of C4. There is still some faint staining, but you have to look hard to find it.

It gets some rave reviews - 12+ months protection is not unknown. What I like about it is that it's a totally natural, satin finish as close to the original trim as you can get, plus it has a high UV factor screen which is very important over this side of the world.

I've also got some G1 and G3 glass treatment and some C5 sealant for the alloys. I'll get round to doing a review of all of these.

nearly 2 years on mine, the rear bumper insert still looks fine, fronts as well, havent felt the need to reapply it yet
mine lives outside and in the full sun (when we have any)

C4 has been on the plastic wheel arch extensions and bumpers of my wifes MK3 Golf GTI for the past 6 months, they are still a very natural black colour with no fade and water still beads and runs off just as it did after the first day of application, excellent trim product
