Hello,
As the title says I'm after a 4T65EV/GT gearbox for a 2004 53 plate XC90 T6 SE.
My own vehicle has only done 70k miles when I got the dreaded "transmission service urgent" message. Read the codes and got TCM0053 - Lock Up solenoid sticking. The box hasnt failed completely and the car is still driveable.
Main Stealers want £5k for the box, when the four solenoids, orings & retining clips for the box can be sourced direct from Volvo for £78!!!
Yes the procedure for a box change is a PITA, but the intention is to get a reasonable condition box, change out the solenoids on the replacement box then swap over the boxes.
Question that I have is that is the 4T65EV/GT box from an S80 compatible?
