Andy - Have I just dreamt this or did someone on our forum say they were either in the business or could have stickers printed ?????

I was just wondering as my latest landy is about to have a new door......but I'm struggleing to fing the "90" decal for the door.

ps. I'm sure i've spelt "struggleing" wrong :thumbs_up:

I think someone is in the business,I think they were talking about it on some thread when someone asked about a VOC badge for members using this forum.Someone had actually already made one.I would like one if they are available. Can't remember what thread it was though?

On my search for landy decals - I've been put onto a local company who will make up stickers / decals to any design.

Now I've not got any prices from them yet.

However - if (and only if) the club don't do stickers - I would be more than happy to get a price on a job lot of VOC forum club stickers.....

So if some one can design one (or I could throw one together for approval)
register your interest here and we could have a "team decal" :thumbs_up:

I'd be up for a VOC forum sticker but be carefull about using the Volvo logo you could be infringing the copywright laws.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the club has special permission to use the Volvo logo

Thanks for that - you're quite right.........however..........

I'm not too concerned about the "volvo" logo issue.........as I think they have bigger fish to fry.....

But I was not too sure if it was crossing any boundaries as far as the forum is concerned ???

Des I think the best thing to di is have a chat with "Da Management" of the club as I'm almost certain that they use the Volvo Logo uder some special sort of agreement with Volvo as for Volvo having bigger fish to fry I would think again on that front after all a "Logo" is a "Logo" or trademark call it what you want they will more than likely chas you on copywright laws no matter how big or small you or any individual are.

I don't know about the club if they would have a problem with getting stickers made up for the forum or not But I would still check if they already do a stick for the forum as again if they do you could be falling foul of something again

I totally agree Jim - I said in my first post - if there was an existing decal for members - or it was against forum policy - then I totally understand...

It was just a casual thought - which seemed like a cool idea.........

I'm sure Des will get back to us with the way forward....

Well to be honest..........I've read the thread and.............well no it doesn't really........

It would be quite cheap to have some stickers printed up -(which I have just learnt from the eternal search for land rover decals) so the club sticker just seemed like a fun idea.

I'm thinking like a window sticker - visable to oncoming drivers - and prompting the friendly/knowledgeable wave that you get with many old/classic car owners......

Added edit for clarification... Many people are fourumites without being members of the VOC!

hi there i'm pretty new to the forum, been bidding on volvos on fleabay for a while but keep losing out on the ones i want... anyway i own a vinyl graphics business...forum rules etc i wont promote myself but to say i stock those 90 decals if that helps you?

We seem to have been talking for months about getting a VOCF members badge made.What we need imo is a logo/design that is individual to the forum and not like any Volvo sticker on sale.There would then be no problems with coppyrite ect.Very Cherry, you being in the business as it where must be used to designing these sort of things,any ideas?
I'm probably leaving my self open to criticisum but i think its time to make a start on getting something made up.Of course i would be prepared as i'm shure others are, to pay the going rate.

Im more than happy to help, I already supply other forum stickers to different forums :thumbs_up:

One forum i do it for we list them in our ebay shop in their own area, the percentage agreed goes to the forum owner towards the running costs and means that he doesnt hold stock and decals go out as and when- works very well and theres a choice of designs.

that said though im a newbie on here and not known, i intend on being around as my next ride WILL be a 240! but im an unknown entity - The very cherry brand rep is cast iron though.... in fact the eagle eyed amongst you would have seen my work on top gear....

Thats the vBulletin logo for the software that runs the forums rather than anything to do with Volvos or the owners club/this particular forum. Therefore unfortunately it doesn't signify anything! Especially without any text!

In my opinion if you want a sticker that bad just join the owners club. It gives you parts discounts at most Volvo main dealers which for me at least pays for itself easily plus I get the owners club mags which contain useful info/pretty Volvo pictures and I support the forum...

Both my cars have an VOC blue tax disc/sticker on the back windows, does me :) (came free when I signed up)
