Good morning all,

Can anyone tell me which Insurance Company the VOC use?

I'm not a member of the VOC at the moment but i'm considering joining if it's going too bring my premium's down.I know that it's very cheeky however, cash is very tight at the moment so every pound count's

The VOC has some 'associated' brokers which will give a VOC discount. In my experience, and my advice, is check out cover using a number of comparison sites (eg: confused.com).

As said above in my experience the discounts are tosh, and you are likely to get it cheaper elsewhere.

My only experience of this was via the TVR car club, the associated insurers were considerably more than other classic car insurers.

Obviously only my opinion based on my experience's

Thank's for that Mark and Paul,i've already tried quite a few comparison site's and at the moment the cheapest one is just over £700.
It's crazy some of the quote's i've had but i suppose that there's alot of us experiencing the same.

Tell me about it,

Volvo £500 with 10 Years no claims.

TVR is £245 full comp with no no claims, as they are used on the Volvo.

Absolute Joke

Try using Volvo insurance.
They beat my current company by around £100.
The so called specialist insurance companys where only £20 less than Volvo but the cover was not as good.

I'm 42 and have a V70 T5 my renewal came in at around £440 and Volvo did it for £343 inc legal and protected NCD.

The thing is, everyone is different- where we live, our record, our age etc.. etc..

You just have to shop around. It may be worth, once selected a likely Company, to still give them a call - yes, speak to someone on the phone!! - and ask how you can reduce the premuim - this usually gets them to check your details, but they often just happen to discover they can offer you a special discount.

Was this recently ?
There was another thread about insurance and I don't think anyone believed me when I said Footman James now recognised the VOC on their list of clubs.
When I asked for a quote I eventually found that descussions were under way to sort something out, sounds like it did go ahead in the end after all.

I to would like to know about footman james and voc.
I was led to believe they didn't recognise the voc for any sort of discount.
I know the VEC has a long standing relationship with FJ.And big discounts can be had.Not sure about newer cars but fantastic for classic's.

As for the VOC preferred insurer, Never known anyone who got a discount due to being a member of this club.

I found the VOC Insurance Brokers and Volvo's own Insurance to be very expensive. Always got it cheaper searching the net.

Last year I paid £326 and cheaper via VOC was just over £500, as for Volvo Insurance it was over £800; but to rub it in Volvo's Insurance is with RSA and I went with More Than who is also RSA.....I'll never understand how Insurance Companies come to the prices...

Yup Footman James would only give me a policy if i joined the VOC. I think i paid 316 fully comp, unlimited mileage, agreed value. This was compared to quotes of 600 - 700 on the price comparison websites.
Will need to check documents but i think this was in February
