View Full Version : stebel nautilus fitting
Im looking at fitting these to my 240 i was advised that they just bolt in place of existing horns as yhey have built in compressor.however a lot of people on the net suggest they need relays etc has anyone fitted these to their volvo especially the older 200/700/900 and how did they fit them?
Cheers

I fitted one to my 960 without using a Relay.Fitted behind the front gill,i had to make a bracket up to fit it on.Works ok.
Cheers, Did you just use the existing horn wiring a sort of plug and play?

Yes i did 240.Still going strong after i year.Make shure you point the horn donwards so moisture does not accumulate in it.
Thanks, much appreciated. Off to browse the web credit card at the ready:thumbs_up:

It involved Mike off the forum drawing a much simpler diagram for me to follow. Basically it involved a relay, a compressor, and splicing into the horn live thats under the bumper.
My plan was to use a strip of steel mounted accross the headlight plates infront of the radiator, and drill holes to mount the horns there but im selling it now so im not bothering haha.
