I believe this is First Call as can be read about here (http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews101817.html)

Yup ... if you look at the small print in the UK & Euro Policy on their website it says the Operator of the B/down service is First Call GB Ltd.

Cheers, Bob.

sometimes you only get what you pay for , i have been paying £25 along with my insurance cover for years , and was told by a friend thats its as good as useless as if i where to brakedown and contact them they phone round local to where i was get a cheap estamate and then my car would be recouvered to a local garrage only, and i would end up waiting hours if not days. the aa will be my next brakedown cover as they may be a bit more expensive £70 or there abouts and they would recover me to my home,(witch is the best place for all my repairs and maintance).:car:

VERY TRUE....there are some "nasty" clauses in some of them (no change there)..I've noticed some of them say "recovery" but when you read the small print it isn't what you might think...or want
I was going to go with Silver Knight through Chris Knott..all the cover you might need for just under £55 (have been with them this year).but I've just got a bettter deal through M&S insurance on a limited mileage policy (3000) fully comp with RAC PERSONAL cover...(breakdown/"proper" recovery/homestart/courtesy car/key cover/hotel/ supplied driver should only driver be taken ill)..all in for £244.
Thought that wasn't a bad deal.

We changed to these after Volvo/RAC cover became just too expensive

Given good review by Which? magazine readers who use it

Yeah..seen that one before...looks good but what put me off is that it's "pay up front" and then claim back....I'm too cynical I guess...I just don't trust the beggars to pay up..LOL

I know the feeling but Which members say that is not a problem. Additionally if you pay by way of credit card or Visa debit card you can claim against the breakdown service provider if the service is faulty or the charge excessive

Understand..and I have no experience of them. I simply wouldn't want to have to get involved in the "administration" of it all after the event.
For an extra £15/20 I personally would rather have the cover/service already paid for and not have to worry about receipts/justifications etc.
I'm sure it wouldn't bother others at all...just not for me.

I might as well have my bit... since I dumped MoreThan I have been with the Broker, Adrian Flux, for some years now with my 1990 745 on a fully comp limited mileage (3000 per yr), plus legal, and full UK and European breakdown/homestart etc, all at a very competitive price primarily u/written by Equity Red Star.

I am with the AA. Tell them you're thinking of leaving and the price will drop.
I have done this for the last few years and got an hefty discount.
