hi everyone i am new to the club and in need of advise and help if possible.
i have just bought a 05 plate s60 2.4 t5 ex police car which is the 4th one ive owned ( i usually have the v70 ). however the nice chap i got it off did a nice thing of ripping me off by hiding that it had a head gasket problem. the car does not overheat but does fill the cylinders full of water on a water system pressure test. i am debating if i would be better to replace the engine or repair the head although my friend who has a garage also does not have the tool for the variable timing. any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
