Hiya folks!

I own a V40 estate diesel S reg 1999 i think? When the turbo kicks in it starts making erotic grunting type noises and then looses power, any idea what it could be, and how much a new turbo should cost?

I know nothing about turbos but is that erotic or erratic? If it's erotic followed by a lack of performance this may not be the right forum.

It's an issue called:

"Premature turbo-boostulation"

first thing to check - boost leaks in your vac hoses perhaps ?

We are truly sorry for the present dismal lack of mechanical assistance on offer.

It is just that some topic titles and the description of what is 'wrong' do lend themselves to our particular brand of 'humour'. :)

When you see a string of topics coming along like

making erotic type noises
followed by
How to clean stain from seat fabric
followed by
things not gone to plan

then the mind does take a particular track ...
