More 480 Speedo Problems

I have a odd problem with my 480s speedo, it only works with the lights on. The flash does not work either, are the 2 related?

I've read the other postings about dry joints etc. I'll give that a go but if anyone has any other ideas I'd appreciate a pointer

Yep dry joints or dirty connections in the circuit board is the way to go, but do post in the other new forum, where other people may be able to help more!!
