Volvo 480 ES dash decription

Hi,

Just bought an old 480 es for almost nothing, good condition, 93,000 on the clock, nice car.
Trouble is there is no handbook with the car and a light is permanently on.
Its the light on the right hand side above the info-centre, looks like a light bulb, orange coloured with a cross through it. What is it telling me?

Hi Tony,

Easy that one, it tells you that an outside light is either faulty or of the wrong type and resistance is incorrect.

This light comes on when you start the car and goes out when you press the brake pedal assuming all bulbs are OK.

Ahhh! That sounds a bout right. After further investigation, it appears the rear fog light isnt working at all.

Will change the bulb.
