Hi!
I noticed the other day that the outside edge of my nearside front tyre has worn down faster than the other side causing a sort of cheese wedge effect on the profile of the tire (exaggerated for description).
So I dared to take it to Kwikfit and the guy said it was out by 4mm. So he said he aligned the track and to come back in two weeks for a 'free' re-adjustment.
The car has pulled to the left slightly all the time I have had it, but now its just taking the p***. I have to wrestle above 50mph to keep it in a straight line! I think I shall be visiting them again to get it put right.
I was just wondering if anyone has any 'ideal' toe measurements and if the Haynes manual values are any good?
Oh yeah the car is a 1995 440 1.8i Si B18U with Volvo 5 spoke 14in by 6J alloys on 185 65 tyres.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Karl.
